How do you find the perfect affiliate program or product to promote? It can be difficult, especially when you’re new to affiliate marketing. There are a lot of opportunities and if you choose the wrong one you can waste a lot of time and money.

Choosing the right affiliate niche to promote doesn’t have to be stressful or a huge uncertainty that could result in months of worthless effort. There’s an easy and simple way to find the right affiliate niche, it just takes a bit of intuition and research to find something that will payout big and convert well. Obviously weight loss and insurance are two extremely saturated niches where people are spending a lot of money to compete. However these people are still able to turn a profit since the traffic online in these niches converts extremely well and pays very well too. The only catch? You’re competing and fighting tooth and nail to stay at the top of the search engines and get the traffic. Items where the consumers are desperate convert the best. These are things like male enhancement, balding, weight loss and so forth.

Recurring commissions – This is a good way to make sure you’re paid down the road for work you did months ago. Promoting a membership site is a great way to build on your income every single month. The only problem is identifying a membership program to promote that will retain those members you recruit. Things where people absolutely need the information or service to run their business or make their lives easier are a good way to identify good membership programs to promote. These types of membership sites will have better retention rates and often better payout rates.

How you plan to monetize – If you are hell-bent on making sure you promote a ClickBank product or some other affiliate network’s products make sure you reassess your strategy. There is a lot of money to be made promoting things on Amazon’s affiliate program or through Google Adsense. When you choose to monetize a different niche through selling physical products or through Google Adsense you can reduce your competition and branch out into new areas. When you choose to monetize through something like Amazon Associate’s you can then promote anything from software to lacrosse sticks.
